Because he was obviously not already cognizant of what supplements are MLB-approved.
As I said before, no matter how USA Today wanted to spin it, “not MLB approved” does NOT equal “illegal” or “unsafe,” and Arroyo has passed the drug tests to prove it.
Anyone calling this “idiotic” isn’t thinking.

Arroyo is willingly taking supplements that are not on an approved list and putting himself, the Reds and MLB at risk. MLB abd MLBPA have informed the players of this. If he tests positive for any substance, the Reds should sue him for breach of contract due to his stupid actions.
He’s not brave or setting up a defense – he’s terminally idiotic.

Technically, drinking 3-4 (12 oz) beers in a 2 hour period and you’re likely at a .08… And how many of us have called a cab after 3-4 beers? Not saying it’s OK to drink and drive, but I work at a bar and I have never seen someone call a cab after 3-4 beers. .08 just isn’t a lot. Arroyo is just being honest and what he said doesn’t bother me.

I had not previously noticed that. Boo to Bronson Arroyo – not drunk driving is NOT hard. Everywhere you could possibly be, there are taxis. Take one, rich boy.
