If it weren't the Pirates they were playing, I would say their ineptness saved you the misery of seeing another pathetic outing by the Flubs. They are going to have to show me more than they have so far before I commit (I will concede that, should they accomplish this, they will surely break my heart later with a return of total ineptness not seen yet this year - reference last years playoff performance)

Rain Out In Haiku: But It Wasn't Raining
Another rain out
But this one shouldn't have been
No rain for two hours
We waited an hour
Then they said another hour
And the rain would start
Prob'ly could have played
At least five or six innings
It would have counted
Fans are not happy
Lots of them believe the Cubs
Were seeking beer sales

As a Sox fan I'm never first to jump to defend the Cubs, but they made the right decision to delay the game with the information they had. You don't want to start a game and stop it within 20 minutes for an hour or more delay. Everyone knows that negatively impacts the starting pitchers ability to continue once the delay is over. There was heavy rain falling all over Chicago just a few miles away from Wrigley yesterday and it was bad luck that it didn't consistently fall on the park.
