Y'know, that guy (Ray) who complains about MSNBC giving the Yankees and Red Sox more than their share is right. But, it isn't just MSNBC, it's sports media in general.
Saint Louis (and Chicago) may just be the best two baseball towns there are -- even though I despise the Cubs. Both of these teams could lose every game and still draw a couple million fans. The Cubs do get a fair bit of press, because of their perpetual suckiness. But the Cardinals are pretty much ignored. We demand equal time.

I hate MSNBC. The only baseball stories you ever see on the front page are the stupid Yankees and Red Sox, with an occasional Cubs or L.A. thrown in. In the first half, there were no stories about the tear Pujols was on. After the All Star break, are they writing stories about how the Cardinals are starting to pull away and turning into the team to beat in the NL? NO. Instead the top two stories look for a negative thing to talk about when it comes to Saint Louis. So what, Albert is in a funk. It happens to EVERY ball player. He will work through it and be just fine. Try doing some worthwhile reporting rather than always bashing on Saint Louis and its players. There are PLENTY of positives going on in the Cardinal's organization right now...more than enough that two negative headlines about Pujols on the front page of MSNBC are NOT justified!

Oh come on. But if you want to say stupid things like that about Pujols - go right ahead. Last time everybody started piling on, he went on a HR tear! Give it a rest already - he is fine, the team is fine and anyone who writes this garbage is either an a cretin or a Cubs fan!

Ron Gardenhire got the umpire to reverse a strike three call on Morneau just a few days ago, convincing him it was a foul tip. Oddly enough, replays were inconclusive -- I was stunned that the ump changed his mind.
