Ken Griffey's value to the M's has never been focused on his stats. It's his demeanor, leadership, and experience. Ask Russell Branyan and other Mariner hitters about that. The gesture of bringing him back to Seattle has helped the franchise in so many intangible ways; it is definitely money well spent. I hope he can continue in some capacity if he desires to stay connected to baseball in the future. He is an All-Star in the truest sense of the word!
