You're not going to believe this, but Tom Glavine is probably retired

Sep 8, 2009, 9:25 AM EDT

I know this is going to throw a major wrench into your offseason fantasy planning, but apparently Tom Glavine is not going to pitch in 2010.

In other news, agents for Charlie Leibrandt and Phil Niekro, the estate of Warren Spahn, and a historian writing a biography of Lefty Tyler have all indicated that their guys are going to sit 2010 out as well.

Zane Smith’s people could not be reached as of press time.

Yet another dumb article by craig here, boy is he on a roll today. Glavine is what? 43 years old? And craig is acting as if he’s 85. Hey craig Johnson is older than Glavine by 3 years and Wakefield is the same age and both are pitching so whats your point? If a guy can keep pitching why shouldnt he? Who are you to tell him to step down before he wants to? Get a clue

Make you a deal, Hop: if Glavine pitches another inning in a regular season Major League baseball game, I’ll buy you a Coke.
