don, for heavens sake, read the post. Craig never said that the Sox offered six players for Hallday, he said that the Toronto Sun had reported that the Sox offered six players for Halladay.

Craig, you should know by now that anytime you write about the Sox or Yanks (or good god, both), that none of your “logic” and “reasoning” will prevent the stupidity being vomited from these people’s mouths.

Don: the linked Toronto Sun piece quotes an NL scout saying that the Red Sox made that offer. People were talking about that kind of thing at the deadline. Contrary to what you think I think, I and many others thought that such an offer was baloney (or at least thought that the Jays were crazy not to take it if true). Nevertheless, the Jays took a lot of flack from some fans and some reporters at the time for not getting this alleged megadeal done.
The linked Boston Globe piece reports Theo denying that ever occurred. How you turn that into me thinking they did it, me backtracking, or me not knowing what I’m doing is a mystery to me.

Criag, learn how to report things. What an idiotic thing to write and suggest that the sox would give up 6 guys for Halladay. This piece here is a nice way of backtracking. But you obviously don’t know what you’re doing.
