At what point does calling your team a bunch of losers become a bad idea? I think it’s fair to say that the Sox are there, and there’s probably going to be more years like this one before it all gets better.

Didn’t Williams “quit” when he traded Thome and Contreras? Wasn’t that essentially throwing in the towel on the season? Weren’t the deals for Peavy and Rios more about 2010 and beyond, and not 2009?

KW won’t come out and publicly admit that he already planned for the 2010 season with the Peavy trade. Peavy being injured and trading thier 5 starter taxed the Bullpen. but the rotation is set up with 4 pretty good starters for next year. (Burlie,Peavy,Danks,Floyd.) Beckham, Getz and Ramierez should be better next year also. that said, the Sox bullpen is a disaster and thier defense is atrocious. The White Sox also were terrible at scoring runners from 2nd and 3rd. these thigs will have to change if the Sox are to relevant in 2010.
