The guy has a history of back trouble, yes? I’ve slept in many hotel beds. Some of them, even at nice hotels, have just not been comfortable on my back. Different people require different support, and it seems perfectly reasonable to think that some hotel bed put his back off its usual alignment and led to some spasms. You or I might shrug it off, but this is a guy who throws his body into pretty incredible contortions 100+ times a day.
