Craig, shut your bleeping mouth.
The Braves are 3 games behind the Rockies now for the wildcard and there's not enough time left to catch up.
If the Braves don't make the playoffs, then guess what? This trade didn't mean jacksh*t for the Braves this year. Next Year? Perhaps. But also the Mets will be HEALTHY with Francoeur aboard next year, too. And they *WILL* bounce back.

Jeff Franceour could have been the next Dale Murphy if he could have learned some plate discipline and, most important, leanred to relax.
Unfortunately, he put such pressure on himself to succeed for his home team that he often tried to win games by himself.
He DID in fact win several games for the Braves this season, but too often failed to produce when needed. I was sad to see him go, but I had to admit that the trade did him a wrold of good and may give him a second chance to be a solid major league outfielder and, (again), if he learns some plate discipline, a future superstar.

I know you can't stand him, but he's played well and with heart and through pain for the Mets, and seems to be the only person who isn't just saying "whatever" at this point. I like him and want to seem him come back, though clearly he's a supporting cast member and not the solution to most of the team's problems.
