hmmm, that story sounds a lot like someone else. Missing a month of the season, coming back and doing awesome. Team making playoffs. Oh yeah that was joe Mauer. And he is a good defensive catcher, and, oh yeah, hit .365 this year. I agree that AROD should get more attention than he does, and more than teixeireirea. But Joe Mauer is the clear MVP. But they do seem to accept each other as teamates, that was evident last night on YES NETWORK.I bet A-Rod and the Yankees LOOSENED UP WHEN THE CAPTAIN HOMERED, IT WAS LIKE HE SAID RELAX FELLAS, IT’S JUST BASEBALLAND AS ALWAYS HE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE HAVOC.THE TWINS ARE OVER MATCHED.

Hey, Joe! You seem to forget A-rod trashing Jeter to the press while he was with the Rangers. I think it is time you did get over the way Jeter treated him. The two had a very close fiendship prior to A-Rod’s envy took control. Jeter felt betrayed and who can blame him. He considered A-Rod as one of his closest friends. It is not the same between them and may never be. They both addressed the matter and put it to rest. That is their right, not ours.

I agree with Mick-701961 when he said that if A-Rod stays hot in the playoffs the Yankees are going all the way. In the last two playoff series that A-Rod has played in, he has flopped in a big way. I hope A-Rod stays hot it’s lights out in the American League.

A-Rod should be the American League MVP. Before he returned from the hip operation, the Yankees struggled and Tex was not doing very well. After his return, the Yankees started to perform because the other teams had to pitch around TEX and A-Rod – although he struggled from time-to-time, ended up with 30 HR and 100 RBI. Not too bad after having to miss several weeks of playing time.

Let’s make a deal – let’s leave A-Rod alone. He does a splended job every day of the year for the Yankees. Yeah, he makes a lot of money. And, he plays consistently every day and adds more than something special to the lineup. Give it a rest and let him do what he does best – play third and look good while doing it.
