It's hard to believe that Oakland gave Ethier to get Bradley from the Dodgers. Has to be one of the worst trades ever, maybe worse than Pedro for DeShields!

Anyone who want Milton is nuts. He is trouble within his own club house and on the field with umps. When he was suspended, his teammates cheered the news. What is he going to do for the Rays, but cause the same trouble and distractions. Chicago has him for now. Let them keep him or pay him off to leave. There is no place in MLB for this guy. He is a mental case and belongs under a doctors care on meds.

Bradley only technically plays the outfield - he's a butcher in right. Bradley accused Cub fans of hurling racial epithets at him, then refused to back it up. Bradley forgot the number of outs in an inning twice in a matter of weeks. Bradley's manager called him a piece of sh-t and he did it in the media. Bradley's teammates were happy to see him go when the Cubs suspended him for the last few games of the season, just as they were in Texas, San Diego, Oakland, LA, Cleveland and maybe even Montreal. They even talked about how they didn't miss him to the press.
And I'm a white Sox fan who doesn't care about the Cubs. So that's only the stuff I couldn't avoid living in the same city. I'm sure there's more.
The Cubs will be lucky to get a bag of batting practice balls for him even if they pay all his salary for the next two years and throw in a few prospects and the choicest of the Wrigley bleacher babes. I'm not saying they won't convince some crazy GM that all he needs is a change of scenery. I'm just saying that when it happens, they will be lucky and please, God, don't let the crazy GM be Kenny Williams.

Why would anyone want Milton Bradley? He gets hurt every year, has a problem with the Manager every year and blows up at an umpire after getting caught looking every year. He ends up hitting 14 or 15 homers, steals a few bases and becomes a great big pain in the ass every year. Dodgers got the steal of the century getting Ethier for him. He's T.O without the talent.

Milton Bradley career batting line: .277/.371/.450, OPS+ 116
Pat Burrell: .254/.363/.475 OPS+ 115
Bradley is two years younger, switch hits, still plays the outfield, and had nowhere near the drop-off Burrell did last year(.257/.378 /.397 for Bradley, .221/.315/.367 for Burrell). Basically, Milton Bradley has a lot more value as a baseball player than Pat Burrell does. The Rays *are* run by some smart people, which is why they should make this trade if the Cubs are willing to make the money come out anywhere near even.
I don't know what the Cubs would do with Burrell though, I guess spin him to another AL team that will take his contract for a PTBNL. But good luck finding one.
