Here we go again. Overmanaging by Giradi. Pitcher Marte did his job well and looked llike he might just have the right stuff for a change. But no. Giradi has to bring in Hughes who gave things away pretty fast. I'll bet Posada called for another curve ball while Hughes insisted on that fast ball down the pipe that exploded against the Yanks. McCarver was right. Hughes should have stuck to his lethal curve ball. End of inning.
Lastly, I can't see the reasoning behind replacing Posada for Molina when A.J. pitches. How can the best catcher in the American League be replaced by an ever so-average player like Molina. Giradi is becoming pretty predictable and needs to go. So do a few of the umpires with their poor calls.Still, the Yankees in six at the New House that Ruth built. Long live American baseball. So much fun.

why didn't girardi pull the prima donna in the first inning? i keep hoping he (girardi) will NOT fall in love with his starters as seems to be his history. burnette sucked tonight (as i think he does every time he pitches) and to leave him in was the kiss of death.
keep chamberlain AND burnette off the field.

And so begins the comeback. The notorious chokers of all-time are set up to do it yet again as Pettite will lose his decision which leaves Sabathia to rty to pull off yet another win which will be asking too much of him this time around. Angels in seven!!! Mark my words!!!

Burnett is overrated. He is pitching small tonight and that basically is his history. That first inning was inexcusable. That being said, the Yankees are one decent inning from being back in the game. Get that bullpen going Joe!
