But I think you have to give the responsibility to the manager to tell the guy he isn’t helping the team. I could understand letting Inge play out July, maybe he would bounce back. But then to continue to play in August, well, that was just wishful thinking. Playing him in September was insane.
It also showed that the Tigers don’t have anyone capable of playing on the left side of the infield in the minors ready to step up. They better hope Inge is ready for 2010 because they don’t have any faith in anyone else they have.
