Well, it is San Fran Sissysco. So I suppose anyone can try. Lets not judge anyone on his accomplishments or lack thereof. It may give him a hard time when he grows up. We don’t need to include everyone and not to judge.

After a hundred and fifty odd years of pitching coaches who couldn’t pitch, first and third base coaches who couldn’t do [i]anything[/i], and bullpen coaches who couldn’t breed, why should it matter that hitting coaches couldn’t hit?

Players who were good at their sport usually don’t make the best coaches. Is this what things have come to? Anyone who is going to write the kind of harebrained idiocy that the Cards endured over hiring Big Mac should at least attempt to demonstrate some sort of correlation between performance as a player and performance as a coach.
I’ll give you a hint – there is one, but it’s a negative correlation.
