Well, yeah…unless he’s innocent. Seems quite possible that he’s being blackmailed, and that he’s decided $140,000 is a worthwhile price to pay considering he’ll make triple that in his first year at the major league minimum. Is it innocent until proven guilty in the Dominican, or do they have a different framework there?
