PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of Bonderman and Robertson! They ARE terrible and washed up. Am I the only one that sees this? As for getting rid of Granderson, BIG MISTAKE! He's one of the best, if not the BEST on the team! We all know he's going to produce. Why chance it for someone who's a maybe. Again, its ALL about $$ that's it. Not to build a team to be the best. Anyways... GO TIGERS we love you!!!

As a long time Tiger fan I would hate to see Granderson go BUT with the current payroll and so many holes to fill I think if we can get good return for him and or Jackson then thats the way to go. True he is only 28. But unless we can add two offensive players and a pitcher that will help us we will end up pretty much the same as this year.
I wasn't disppointed we lost a 7 game lead to the Twins. We had no right being there to begin with. We didn't have the guns to go past the first round. We had four players on offnese that would start for contending teams. The rest were bench players. Pitching was weak. Jackson struggled after the ASB.There were teams that had better records that didn't sniff the playoffs. We went from last to first. But in a weak divison.
We need help and lots of it. By the time we get turned around Granderson will be 31-32 and starting the down sie of his career. Its time to move foward. We have to ride out some bad contracts or hopefully trade them. I've seen two world championships in my time so far. I do expect to see another one but not anytime soon. I'm ok with that.

Trade Granderson, are they nuts? They have destroyed this team in one years time with all the experimenting and over managing. They are stuck with a dead payroll thanks to the brilliant moves getting Huff and Washburn. They want to get rid of Jackson, and Laird. Now they add Granderson also. Whats left???? Wake up Mike, time to act is now.Keep the foundation of the team. You can bet that Polanco will run for the hills too if these other guys go.You wont win squat with Bonderman and Robertson as they are both history.

Honestly, this has never been Mike Ilitch's style to go cheap as the owner of the Tigers. BUT, if this is the extreme's he's willing to go to for payroll purposes, then I beg him to sell the team. Detroit fans came out to the ballpark in good numbers this season, despite the horrific local economy. They don't deserve to lose two young, franchise cornerstones because of dollars and cents.
