Start 100 games or so at 3b, and platoon with Kubel at DH. Would be a cheap option. Not a sure thing, but could potentially be as good as anyone in the market for a fraction of the price. I don’t think they’ll do it, but he sure would look good in the Twins lineup. The Twins would then have 2 above average right handed hitters in the lineup. Maybe something like
Span
Mauer
Glaus
Morneau
Cuddyer
Kubel
Hardy
Delmon
Punto
but that would make too much sense. It would probably be
Span
Hardy
Mauer
Morneau
Cuddyer
Kubel
Glaus
Delmon
Punto
not that it really matters, because I think Brendan Harris or Joe Crede are likely to be manning the hot corner in 2010.
