There is no reason---none----to believe Pedro can last a full season at this point, much less keep his ERA out of the stratosphere.
I'm sure the Red Sox would love to face him as often as possible, but it's just not going to happen, and 12-14 wins isn't even wishful thinking; it's insanity. Forget the two million; he's not worth a roster spot, though I'm sure he'll get one.

Am I the only one who feels that the irony of having Pedro in the Yankee lineup is too tempting to resist?? Yeah, yeah, yeah Brian Cashman is trying to get the Yankees younger for 2010, but Pedro as a number 4 or number 5 pitcher is just too juicy to pass up, especially in what is primarily a down year for free agents. Pedro would probably be good for 12-14 wins (given the Yankees offense), it would give him a chance to prove his statement he would be a king in NY if he pitched for the Yankees, and damn, it would be a monstrous poke in the butt at Boston. It will always be a sold out game when the Red Sux come to NY, but can you just picture the buzz if Pedro is scheduled to pitch one of those games? Hell, make that game a Pedro Bobble Head give away, put a crown on the Pedro Bobble Head, and see just how quickly that doll becomes a collector's item. Who says the Boston-New York rivalry can't be heated up a few degress more?????

Pedro pitched game 6 with the flu. he apparently lost 13 pounds and is still sick from it.
he gave up 3 runs in the first run around with the yankees, but overall looked extremely dominant. completely shut down the dodgers in LA.
i would LOVE for the phils to take him back.

If you have 120 starting pitchers, I say Pedro is a better choice than at least (25) of them. Starting pitchers today are hero's giving you 6-7 decent innings, and leaving it to the pen....
Pedro can give you a decent outing on experience alone! As long as his arm is healthy, passes a physical, its a no brainer...Let's not forget in the World Series he had to face the most potent lineup in baseball.
He's a bargain at 2 mil!

By "rejuvenated," does that mean that Pedro's agent is prowling the tenements at night looking for waifs who've fallen through the welfare agencies' safety nets so that Pedro can have fresh blood transfusions? How do you "rejuvenate" something that's broken down so often that he's practically a cyborg at this point? Ever have a car that broke down as often as Pedro, and finally got a letter stating that you've managed to put your extended warranty provider out of business? Give mew a break. Pedro, it's time to consider a career as a pitching coach or broadcaster for the Spanish-language station carrying some lucky team in Miami, Texas, Arizona, LA or San Diego.
