Alright, thanks for the info.
One sportswriter does a short piece reporting that two teams are talking, another sportswriter does a tweet refuting this. I don’t see how the rumor “bites the dust”. You still have a rumor at the very least.

Clark Spencer is a local Miami sportswriter - although, since I only get to read him when using old newspapers to wrap freshly caught fish for the freezer, I can't remember offhand which of the two surviving so-called newspapers down here, the Herald or the Sun-Sentinel, he writes for.

Jeffrey Loria, his pet poodle David Samson, and their highly capable GM Larry Beinfest (whose talents are being used by the Feesh in about the same way that Colin Powell’s talents were used by the knuckledragging imbecile he worked for when the latter sent him to the UN in 2003) are the same guys who promised Carlos Delgado that he would not be traded away if he signed with them. You can trust that bunch not to spring for the cheapest alternative about as much as you can trust Bernie Madoff to drive your succulent, nubile young daughter past a camel auction in Sudan and bring her back again. I would love to believe that Hanley will play in Macondo Banana Massacre Field in Feesh teal in a couple of years, but I doubt if even Pete Rose would give me unders on it.
