While I generally enjoyed it there, I once heard an oil millionaire say he was smarter than everybody because he had more money-money that came from oil found on his fathers farm about 70 years ago.
Hicks always struck me as embodying that mentality, confusing lucky with smart. Certainly he’s done nothing smart with his ownership of the Rangers and Liverpool. Baseball will be much better without him, and I’m sure Liverpool fans, now out of Champions League contention for the first time in ages, can’t wait for him to depart the EPL as well.
