As a former regular at Feesh games at Joeprodolshark Stadium, where the crowds are so sparse that the cheering could best be described as the sound of one hand clapping, I’ve had to get over mild shock at being engulfed in the crowd noise at Chavez Ravine and sitting amongst some of the most rabid and knowledgeable fans the far side of St. Louis. And they’re freaking broke??? There’s mismanagement, incompetence, and decerebration in that descending order. To bust the Bums, though, requires nothing less than anancephaly. I can see the Toronto Feather Lice crashing like that, given the recent ineptitude of their front office, but….the Bums? What the hell did they do, hire Ivan Boesky as a financial consultant and Bernie Madoff as their investment banker?
