Delgado did a good job when healthy in NY. And he seems like a good guy. But, Mets need to go in a different direction, if nothing else except to start a needed movement to a new generation. Beltran has a couple of good years left. Reyes and Wright are young enough to rebound from tough years. But, this team is a HUGE expenditure (as in Lackey, Halliday and a big bat HUGE) and filling in with Delgado is not a real make or break. Either leave Murphy there or try and trade for another big bat for first base. Delgado would be a good American League pick up.
