Need a closer? Indianapolis is the place to get 'em.

Mike Gonzalez, Rafael Soriano, Fernando Rodney, Jose Valverde and Kevin Gregg are still out there as free agents, but teams will have at least three alternatives via trade at the winter meetings.

Tracy Ringoslby of FOXSports.com
says that Francisco Cordero, Matt Capps and Heath Bell are being
shopped, according to “early arrivals at the winter meetings.”

In
truth, now seems like an awful time to try to get maximum return for
closers via trade given the numerous alternatives in free agency, but
the Reds would love to get out from under at least part of the $25
million Cordero is owed over the next two seasons. Good luck, Mr. Jocketty.
