Royals interested in Pudge; ugly hats

Dec 7, 2009, 8:50 AM EST

Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star is reporting that the Royals want to bring in Pudge Rodriguez.

In far more interesting news, the Royals are going to wear (read: market to their fans) powder blue caps along with their powder blue jerseys next year.  Although you can buy the hats now.

I like the powder blue thing, but the Royals have screwed it up. They should wear it on the road, not at home, and they should wear it with powder blue pants, not white ones.  This according to the “if George Brett didn’t wear it, neither should you rule,” that applies equally to the caps.  Blah.

So long as you don’t apply the rule in the opposite direction, Craig: remember the pants Brett was wearing on the golf course when he delivered that profanity-laced tirade about the KC media and managers last summer? God, those were frightening.

I don’t recall hearing about Brett’s tirade. You got a link?

The tirade happened back in May, I wrote about it on my site, but here is the direct link:

That was awesome, both the rant and the trousers. Thanks!

Hi there, nice site with good info. I really like coming back here often. There’s only one thing that annoys me and that is the misfunctioning of comment posting. I usually get to 500 error page, and have to do the post twice.
