Here’s why I find that offer unlikely – Josh Johnson isn’t a Ranger. Wouldn’t be surprised however to find that both Feliz and Smoak were on the table, just one or the other as a cornerstone piece in a deal though, not both.

If this rumor was true it would sum up the history of the Rangers. Brings up A+ plus talent that will benefit the cub greatly then ship them off and watch them soar.

Matt, FWIW, I emailed Josh Johnson’s agent to see if he had heard anything about the rumor. I got a flat “no” in return, but he added that he wouldn’t normally be in the loop on a deal like this…(being that JJ doesn’t have a NTC)
