Of COURSE they’re desperate. I can see 3 years, $36 million for Piniero from the Mets. Remember, this is the same GM who gave the identical deal to Oliver Perez last winter, overpaid by at least $1 million to keep Alex Cora, and blew $1.5 million on a back up catcher who’s no better than Omir Santos. So, yeah, I’d say this team is despearte.
