Wow, 'contending Royals club'?
The same team that everyone thought would win 80+ games last year because they had an easy September the year before, and then struggled to win 67 games?
The Royals are a bad club, and haven't done anythng to make themselves better. They are a 100-loss team waiting to happen.
It's going to be 10 years before the Royals can even pretend to be contenders.

Ridiculous. Kendall is not going to be part of a contending Royals club, and he's highly unlikely to end up as any kind of a trade chip? So what is the point of spending $6 million on him? <br />
If it wasn't obvious already (it was), Dayton Moore has no plan.

What would the rest of MLB do if they didn't have the Royals to collect all of their rejected players. At least Moore finally picked up someone other than a Brave castoff!
