Rosenthal has been smoking crack I think. For the Salary Lee is drawing next season and the Phills in talks with his agent. If they want that trophy, they'll need Lee in their rotation, he's proven his worth. I see blanton being traded for prospects the Jays want. I see Hamels or Happ going north as part of a package, but it makes no sense at all to get rid of Lee.If Amaro offloads Lee he'll regret it. Deeply. It's just stupid to do so much work to get Halladay for a much larger salary and loose prospects to boot.

Jays wouldnt be interested in Hamels - they are building for 2-3 years from now ... they (rightly) want bluechip AA and AAA prospects, or at least young majors-ready players that will be cheap andunder control for a few years.

This would be stupid. Lee and Halladay make sense, but Halladay and Hamels, is no better then what they have. Trade Hamels and Taylor, plus a few 2nd tiers guys for Halladay, sign Lee long-term and then wait on Halladay until the season is over. Trading Halladay in July if they arent playing well as a team

Too bad. I would love to see the Borg try to deal with both Lee and Halladay next October - and not have the luxury of two games against Hamels into the bargain.
Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing the Feelies have to deal with both Sabbathia and Halladay either. This is the Borg we're talking about, isn't it? And really, is Halladay going to waive his no trade clause to abandon the culinary paradise that is Queen West and environs for those...you all ready?...horrible horsemeat and velveeta sandwiches that southeastern Pennsylvania considers the pinnacle of its gustatory universe?
By the way, CTB bloggers, have you guys considered getting together on taking out a big life insurance policy on Ken Rosenthal and splitting the annual premium amongst you? 'Cause if anything happens to him, you're going to need to do all that work yourselves. Building your own network of informants isn't that easy or cheap - just ask any retired Stasi officer.
Failing that, of course, you could always look up your local Santera and bring him a goat once a month to sacrifice for Ken's wellbeing. I'm sure the Cubs front office would be happy to supply you with all the goats youy want.
