Wonder if he’s got some sort of chip on his shoulder over the reversal in his father’s fortunes. Sometimes it just takes a jolt or two to bring out the tiger asleep in the pussycat. As far as the Astros seeing “long term,” that’s a new one on me.

Oh I agree. Good on-base and contact skills, though I think we need another season to see if the power’s for real. Do the Astros see him as a C or 3B long-term?

That’s true, scatterbrian (great name, BTW), but the kid still has some talent, and that’s the exception with the Astros rather than the rule. Don’t hold the fact that his father is such an a** against him. I’m rooting for him.
