Don't blame the town because it got stuck with an owner who cares nothing about winning. Any Kansas Citian would like to trade David Glass for a new mascot and six pack of Bud, well a mascot anyway.
They don't need a baseball team. They have Bird's plastic saxophone from the Massey Hall concert in the jazz museum out there, and they've got Lucky Wesley on bass. That's plenty for one cow town.

Eh, it's officially called depth. The O-Royals were more dinged up than the KC club last season. He also probably had ties to bench coach (former Toronto manager) John Gibbons, so he's getting a shot. The only pitcher on the market still that really has much intrigue IMO is Bedard.

Gee, both the Mets and the Royals turned their attention to pitching...and look how well it's progressing.
Wouldn't be surprised if there had been a bidding war between the Royals and the Mets for this future HOF pitcher. (She says as she continues to bang her head against the wall.)
