The Nippon Ham Fighters of Japan’s Pacific League have signed Blue Jays’ righty Brian Wolfe. Wolfe had a 8.22 ERA in 14 games in relief with the Jays and had a 5.05 ERA in 34 games at Triple-A Las Vegas.
I don’t really care about the signing that much, but it does make me wonder if there’s a Japanese version of Rany Jazayerli who eviscerates the Fighters for bad signings like Rany does the Royals.

Ever wondered where Japanese baseball would put an Atlantic league?

I think they are trying to create the worst-ever bullpen. They also signed Bobby Keppel. I wonder what their mascott looks like?

Never mind, it isn’t a big ham with a bat. Nippon Ham should be hyphonated. That would clear up some confusion. The fighters is the mascott for the Nippon-Ham team.

Thanks for ruining the mental image I had of a ham fighter.

Never know, all of the gaijin might be very successful over there. Smaller ball, smaller batters.
