Sheff, still has one of the best bats in baseball, no I don’t think he should get 8mil, but I do think he’s worth at least 4-5. I grew up with Sheff in Tampa Fl. we started in little league together, his leadership qualities is second to none. I think any team (Tampa Bay Rays) could use that type of leadership to help them win a World Series. Would that be nice Home town guy helps team win it all.

POS come on he is a great player and deserves better than that. He can still play like many other younger players who will not play as hard. POS you do notknow baseball

Gary is controversial because he speaks his mind and has confidence in himself.He obviously loves the game and has a goal(3000 hits).I don’t think he’s in it for the money either. Through the years he’s made plenty for everybody because of his talent.I’d like to see all the Gary whiners become one of 25 people to hit 500 plus homers.

POS come on he has hit 500 Hr’s and still has a qiick swing and awesome bat. POS not cool. He speaks his mind and tells the truth that is what people do not like about him. He will provide veteran leadership to a club with a big bat.

Sheffield wants to hang around for the wrong, stealing money to be non-productive, getting those 3,000 hits are his main objectives. If he signs, he will get hurt again then will try to come back in 2011 if he is broke and or short of the 3,000 hits
