Adam LaRoche may have miscalculated

Jan 11, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

One followup thought to Bob’s post on the Huff signing:  How dumb does Adam LaRoche feel right now for turning down a two-year, $17 million from the Giants to be their first baseman?

At this point I’m seeing a one-year, $6 million deal in Baltimore in his future. Maybe an option if he’s lucky.

Considering how many pieces of shu-toro and oh-toro I could order at the local sushi bar, even at today’s prices, I wouldn’t mind a one year deal for six million. ‘Course you’d have to cart me out of there with a forklift with my eyes bugging out and a serious case of Omega-3 poisoning, but life is nasty, brutish and short anyway.

    Craig,
I think you are seeing correctly – I was thinking the exact same thing before reading your post. If the O’s do that and can trade Luke Scott the lineup may be as formidable as any in the AL East assuming the young players progress and stay healthy.
Roberts, Pie, Jones, Markakis, Wieters, Reimold, LaRoche, Atkins, Izturis. Not bad at all.

I found a web site is Thailand that sells those fish oil capsules that take care of the fatty acids. I am not sure that they are healthy to eat but I am tempted by the cost. Any suggestion how to have better control over the food safety of my diet supplements?

I have a apple book. Everybody say that there are no viruses for apple and I was wondering if it makes sense to buy firewall software just in case? Are the Nortons of the world just build up fear?
