Enough about the hiring of a staff psychologist with a title that you guys find amusing. This reminds me of the hullaballoo over the title of 'sanitation engineer' in the 80's, when every wag with a superiority complex would wax waggish about the title and make fun of the people who removed the refuse from their curbsides. The first sports psychology institute opened in 1920. Nearly every major league franchise in every sport has at least a sports psychologist sub-contracted for team use. It's not funny, and you guys have issues. You should all shut up about it ... wait for it .... right fucking now.

Hiring a "Mental Conditioning Coordinator" sounds loopy, but heck, it can't hurt, can it?
As for Church, meh. I don't know why the Pirates aspirations when it comes to free agents go no farther than mere competence.
