Ramon Castro signs with the White Sox

Jan 12, 2010, 4:30 PM EDT

Ramon Castro, who first was a Blue Jay and then wasn’t a Blue Jay is now a White Sox.

It’s a one year, $1 million deal. He hit .219/.292/.406 in 171 plate appearances on the season, catching about 400 innings. That means that he is yet another catcher who is demonstrably superior to Jason Kendall, yet who signed for fewer years and lower dollars than what the Royals gave Kendall.

Tyler Flowers to AAA, then…unless he ends up being the DH.

I think Flowers gets a little more experience playing all the time in AAA, and that’s a good thing (and no need to get the free agency clock started early on him with AJ catching almost every day). Castro clearly is now set-up to catch another perfect game.

Lock up your little girls, White Sox fans.
Is Castro going to have to live under the Dan Ryan expressway to meet his legal obligation to say 1500 yards from the nearest gentleman’s club?

How much for the women? I want to buy your women. How much for the leetle girl?
