You know, I had always wondered why Cox threw guys out there the way he does, and that explanation makes sense. Like actually, it makes sense. Now, all we need is for Cox to come into Spring Training Frenchy as his clean-up hitter, and everyone else will catch on.

The Twins ruined my fun tormenting my Yankees-fan friends with fake “Pavano returns to NY via free agency” news releases when they offered him arbitration. However, although I do not really understand the decision, I’m not going to second guess Twins management–they’ve stayed competitive pretty consistantly without a big payroll (in baseball dollars) for a long time & served as the Rays’ role model in climbing out of the AL East cellar themselves.

$7 MIL for Pavano? What is Bill Smith thinking? How do you even let that guy think he can get more than 5 MIL? I would of taken that to the arbitrator. Thats precious Joe Mauer money dammit!
