Wow, at least you admit you’re personally biased in your eval on the starters. Yuck.
Z is on a long slow fade, Dempster isn’t a true #2 starter. Gorzo snuck into your head a long time ago and now he won’t leave you alone obviously, since it’s time to admit that the guy is probably just a bullpen lefty. Having the worthless rotting carcass of Carlos Silva rated higher than Marshall tells me you don’t really like him as much as all that. Lilly’s health is a serious question mark, I see an abrupt fade into oblivion that will cost Pinella 7% of his remaining sanity.

Their lineup doesn’t look intimidating at all. All their players are over-payed, over-acheiver’s and they’ll never win a world series with that current rotation and or starting lineup. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or even a half way decent baseball talent evaluator to look at the Cub’s roster and see that they’re going nowhere fast. They have proven in year’s past that they’re a team with a bunch of injury riddled players whose best days are behind them and always seem to disappear when the team needs them most. Their best player is Big Z and he isn’t even a number 1 starter he’s a two or three at best. He has number 1 type stuff but his attitude is that of a 2nd or 3rd starter in a rotation. I guess it’s another, “maybe next year” type of season.
