Sando’s brilliant, but the rest are overpaid stiffs or never-will-be like Schierholtz. Rowand, Sanchez, Huff, DeRosa, Molina, and Renteria are very expensive, below-average offensive contributors at their positions. Sanchez, Sandoval, Huff, Molina, and Renteria are lousy fielders, too. And that is one fugly bench.
There is no way the Giants will compete this year. Last year almost everything that could go right did – and they still missed the postseason. 81 wins, tops.
