Nice that LA is showing it’s dedication to the fanbase by signing high upside guys. Which team couldn’t use a guy with a 550 OPS? He and Willy Taveras combined could make one mediocre AA player.

Good for the Bums. It’s nice to see a team with a real reason for being on a budget – in this case, of course, a great knockdown dragout matrimonial war that’s right up there with The War of the Roses but blessedly lacking Danny DeVito – land a good, solid, reliable guy who I don’t doubt will grow past the injuries that sidelined him last year. Amezaga can fill any hole in the field except pitcher and catcher if he has to. We’ll be sorry to see him leave Macondo, but then, since the advent of Folk Loria (pronounce loosely for the proper effect) and the midget jester in the eyeball hat, we’ve kinda gotten used to it. This team has become like one of the walking transplant farms in Never Let Me Go.
