Wouldn’t you expect to see a bit of an uptick in performance from guys that have this written about them? It stands to reason that these articles usually get written about good players who are coming off sub-par (for them) years. So, a little regression to the mean and voila! The articles are vindicated. Even if you knock off some expectations for veterans who are truly at the end of the line, I’d expect to see this improvement.
