You are clearly not an alert student of modern civilization or you would know that there are no more strange fetishes. Everything is permissible, even transcripts of Sarah Palin speeches. If you had listened to the interview with McCourt last week, where he sounded like a cross between Ron Ziegler, Professor Irwin Corey and George Bush working a press conference without his teleprompter (not that it ever helped him much anyway), you'd've wished someone would cut his balls off too. And I haven't been a Dodger fan since 1956, when they set out for California at the head of the Donner Party.

So, Jamie’s lawyer Bert Fields calls up somebody who used to work for Jamie, who “has a personal relationship” with Tim Brown (per the disclosure at the bottom of the article).
Brown’s friend gets Tim on the phone. Bert Fields tells Brown that Jamie would spend more on players than Frank would.
Of course he’d say that… he’s trying to spin the media for Jamie’s benefit.
Brown falls for it, and prints the story.
The only thing worse that Brown publishing it, is the fact that you pulled that quote and printed it here.

It sounds more and more like Frank McCourt is going to do to the Dodgers what Frank Lorenzo did to Eastern Air Lines. I hope that when she gets into court she cuts his cogliones off, has them platinum plated and wears one on each ear. Maybe it's time for MLB to intercede "for the good of the game" and run the Bums the way they ran the Gnats and their earlier incarnation, the Expose until the judge gets finished with the surgery. Now that ought to stabilize the situation - the way the La Brea tar pit stabilizes a dire wolf carcass.

I read that column just now, or rather I speed read through half of it. Nothing new, just same old speculative crap. And now your including thoughts of entertainment lawyers. The Dodgers will be allright. Isn’t it amazing that even though the team is going through some bumps that they are still outperforming most other teams both on and off the field. Don’t be a hater.
