Please don’t use that phrase again. It’s idiotic and makes no sense whatsoever.

I think I’d rather see Hughes in the rotation if there’s only room for one

Any reasoning behind this that doesn’t involve the words, bulldog mentality/feeling/attitude/fistpumps? Lots of people (Olney for one) keep saying this but don’t mention any reasoning behind it. Hughes will be on an innings limit, Chamberlain isn’t. Chamberlain has shown he can pitch an entire year as a starter, Hughes hasn’t.

I think they’ll miss Matsui – a good, professional hitter. It will be interesting to see how the line up goes. Nick Johnson is s – l – o – w. I hope they don’t hit him at 2 where he can clog up the bases. But overall, I agree that they have a much stronger roster today than they did at this point last year.

They might be a better club, but they were a bit lucky last year–played above their pythagorean thanks largely to all those walk-offs and comebacks. So they could be a better club but not win 103 games.

They seem younger , stronger ,and deeper than last year. I look for them to have an easier time getting to the world series than last year. Go Yanks.
