You raise yet another loopy and elliptical point amigo. Maybe he’s amazing that he’ll take up tennis in his offseasons. That “team tennis” thing they do with retired stars might be a good starting place for him.
Sounds very much like he could be hitting dangerously weyward foul balls over the first base dugout in Atlanta soon.

Now I wouldn’t want to go overboard and claim that Craig Calcaterra believes that this kid will be the savior of the franchise, but he will be arriving at the Braves spring camp soon to worship the Heyward child with frankincense and myrrh.

Incidentally, it’s too bad he didn’t turn tennis pro. Then we could all be talking about the Heyward fault.

Please don’t let him be like every other heralded power hitter since Chipper debuted. Let him be good. No Ryan Klesko, no Jeff Franceur. (except for the Andrew years)
