A couple of weeks ago I lamented the fact that fellow West Virginian J.R. House’s career was probably over. Turns out that it’s not, as the Braves just signed him to a minor league deal.
The odds of him sniffing playing time in Atlanta? Slim and none and none slim [sue me] left town, but he’s been a solid organizational soldier for a long time and deserves a shot to play some more baseball, be it in Fulton County or Gwinnett County.

Shouldn’t “slim” have left town?

And why not sign him? He caught Aaron’s 715th home run. Maybe he’ll bring some luck to the franchise if Heyward tanks.

Yeah, Slim always leaves town. Must be a complacency issue.
