The Panda can see clearly now

This is somewhat frightening:

Unbelievable.
Pablo Sandoval hit .330 last year even though he couldn’t see clearly.
He’s wearing new glasses now. Pitchers beware.

Of course now that he’s had a trip through the league the pitchers aren’t going to give him as much good to hit this year as they did last year, so maybe it evens out.

Not necessarily. It’s also possible that Pablo will be distracted by seeing pitch movement for the first time and decide that he was better off just swinging at the blur. Paul Waner was famous for trying them and abandoning them for just that reason.

Good Pitches to hit? The scouting report all of 09 was throw him anything and he’ll swing. He stroked doubles off his shoestrings and hit homers up at his eyes. Let’s see if his SO’s increase this season, but either way the kid makes young Vlad-like contact.
