Your latest Kansas City Royals Fail

Mar 1, 2010, 10:00 AM EDT

Joe Posnanski’s latest tweet:

I have been hold on for 10 minutes minutes while trying to BUY KC Royals’ season tickets. Seriously, how pathetic is my life?

I’m not sayin’ that Joe Posnanski should get special treatment just because he’s a big famous Kansas City-based sportswriter, but that’s not the kind of publicity the Royals really want at the moment.

And really, how many people are calling in to buy Royals season tickets this morning? Fewer than call in to get a pizza on any given Friday evening, I’d wager, and if the pizza place put you on hold for ten minutes you’d never buy from there again.

See, that’s the actual problem. So few people call to buy new Royals season ticket packages, the form the ticket off needs to fill out is probably covered in dust and buried under a stack of Neifi Perez posters.

A seriously unstable friend and his unstable-but-a-looker now-ex-wife gave their kid the middle name “Danger” (pronounced “don-zhay”) just so he can tell people, “Danger is my middle name”.

It’s a rip-off of a Bronx joke, when Pos asked how much the season tickets cost, the guy probably responded, ‘I don’t know. No one ever asked before’.
Or maybe DM is still looking around to see if there were any FAs left with sub-.300 OPS’s.

Well, at least they didn’t ban him from the park…

People calling in to buy Royals season tickets this morning….or people actually calling the Royals on a Friday night to order pizza???
-Someone please clarify which would be more busy

They probably know it’s him and don’t want to sell the tickets to him!

As Craig is already well aware – and has observed right here someplace – this kind of thing can get ugly in a hurry.
    .
I can do virtually the entire Don’t Crush That Dwarf if plied with enough free wine and…uh…brownies.
