Frasor developed a new pitch before last season and his 2009 went just about how he (and several commentators) expected; i.e., he was terrific in either the 8th or 9th innings. I don't think we can put much weight on Frasor's earlier stats. He looks to me like a real closer now.

Well, the Feather Lice are sitting a lot prettier than they would have been if Joe Nathan had been the latterday incarnation of Iron Man McGinnity. At first the Cubs, forgetting about their rotten karma and incurable prion-vectored neurological disease Die Vloek van der Geitbok really thought that in the finest Toronto tradition, hollow boned and feathered, Frasor would fall to them. Now the Tweens and Cubs can claw each other's eyes out for the short term services of Frasor. Personally, I think the Feather Lice ought to offer the Cubs a choice of Frasor or Kevin Gregg. Then you'd see the bidding get hot and heavy.
