Last week Jon Heyman tweeted that the Mariners were interested in bringing Jarrod Washburn back. Yesterday he reported that the Royals were joining the bidding and had a “strong interest” in him.
I can’t decide which force of nature is more powerful: Heyman’s shilling for Scott Boras clients like Washburn or the Royals signing of players who have absolutely no chance of making the team better in any significant way. Like Washburn.
So I guess what I’m saying is that I have no idea if the Royals’ interest is true or not.

I certainly hope this development does not harm Kyle’s chances as ace.

If the Phillies could get him for 1 year, $9mil why wouldn’t they do it? Or the Tigers or Angels for that matter?

Once again Craig, you have this backwards.
With a career OBP of .304 (higher than Jacobs or Betancourt last year), this fits in with DM’s vision of KC becoming an OBP machine.
