Chipper Jones scratched, Jason Heyward returns for the Braves

Mar 31, 2010, 12:25 PM EDT

All kinds of eventual things happening with the Braves today. For starters, Chipper Jones has an ingrown toenail on his left foot which is keeping him out of the lineup for today’s game vs. Houston. In other news, Jason Heyward is back in the lineup after missing some time due to shin splints. And he was all Heywardy as soon as he got to the park today, hitting a window on the Astros’ team bus. I think that brings the vehicle casualty count up to three this spring.

Aren’t you glad you have the Internet? Back in the bad old days you never would have known about future hall of famers who trim their toenails improperly and reckless spring training parking habits. Now you can plan your
day around it.

Jose Guillen can teach Chipper how to take care of those spring training ingrown toenails!

soooo, when does Martin Prado take over 3rd base duties and Chip move to DH, I mean 1st base?

Craig, don’t you worry even a little bit that the management of this team doesn’t have the liminal smarts to move their fucking cars to another part of the lot when the Heyward child is taking batting practice?

Just like those parents that pride themselves at getting the closest parking spot possible where ever they go –like walking an extra 50 yards would kill them…well, considering their average cardiovascular fitness levels, maybe it would –at places like little league parks where there always happens to be a close spot right behind the backstop, then complain how unlucky they are that their SUV has a dent on the hood.
