What’s different now? Platelet therapy, that’s what. Doc draws blood from patient, throws blood in centrifuge for 15 minutes or so, bingo bango bongo red cells, white cells and plasma get separated out somewhat, what’s left is your own blood but with about 10 times the platelets as regular blood. The platelets are the part of blood responsible for healing tendons and muscles. This platelet goo gets injected to the affected area and speeds healing. Fascinating stuff.
